First and Only

We have another exclusive interview to bring you.

People in consanguinamorous relationships are everywhere, though consanguinamorists tend to be closeted. Fortunately, some are willing to be interviewed for this blog. As a result, Full Marriage Equality has featured scores of exclusive interviews with lovers denied the freedom to marry and have that marriage treated equally under the law. Most can’t even be out of the closet or they’ll face persecution and prosecution under absurd incest laws, which, instead of focusing on abuse, also target consensual relationships.

The man and woman interviewed below should be free to legally and publicly marry, or simply be with each other without having to hide, yet they can’t. Prejudice can be deadly. They are consenting adults; why should they be denied their rights? In much of the world, including where they live, they could be criminally prosecuted for loving each other this way, and might be persecuted severely in addition.

Read the interview below and see for yourself what they have
to say about the love they share. You may think this relationship is interesting, or it might make you uncomfortable, or you might find it ideal, even highly erotic, but whatever your reaction, should lovers like these be denied equal access to marriage or any other rights simply because they love each other this way?

Also please note that someone you love, respect, and admire could be in a similar relationship right now. Should they be attacked and denied rights because of the "incest" label?

NOTE: This interview includes brief descriptions of lovemaking between teens, who, where they lived, could legally consent to sex with strangers at their ages.

*****

FULL MARRIAGE EQUALITY: Describe yourselves.

David: Hello everyone. I’m David, 30, male, and currently residing in Salt Lake City, Utah with my sister/wife and our daughter. I’m a six-foot one-inch white male with a lean, muscular body. I graduated in finance and am currently working as a Financial Advisor for a bank.

We both come from a strong socioeconomic background as our dad inherited a lot of land and owned multiple businesses throughout his life, but we are proud to say everything we own is from our own hard work. Having said that, our parents are also really conservative Mormons. We come from a family where dating and sex before marriage are still a taboo so you can say we absolutely obliterated their values [laughs].

We both are big on fitness and go to the gym religiously. Some of my hobbies include gaming, kayaking during summer, and skiing during winter. I love remodeling around the house and always finding projects to work on. A few things I have done over the past three or four years, since we bought our house, was to put a wooden fence around the house myself, remodeled the living room by adding custom shelves, ceiling lights, paint and much more.

We do not have any other siblings.

Sarah: Hello everyone, I’m Sarah, 32, female, and I’m the sister/wife to David and mom to our beautiful daughter. I have long and silky blonde hair going down to my lower back, and all natural. I’m a slim, curvy girl with a big bust - got it from my mom. I graduated dental school and did my specializations in orthodontics, however, currently I’m a stay-at-home mom looking after our daughter. I do plan to start working again in a few months, but no rush to be honest.

Like David mentioned, we are gym freaks and love working out. I don’t have a lot of hobbies like David, but I do enjoy playing Call of Duty, Battlefield, Halo and FC26.

FME: Are you married or have you ever been legally and/or ceremonially married?

Sarah: Unfortunately, we are not legally married and there is no place on Earth where we can be, however we did have a ceremony.

I always wanted to be a bride and loved talking about it ever since I was a child. David always knew this dream of mine and always promised me that one day I will be a bride.

A couple of years ago, unbeknownst to me, he planned an entire proposal with our close friends and parents. After we had our photoshoot, he told me something that made me the happiest I ever was. He said, “Sarah we are going to have a wedding. You are going to become a bride, walk down the aisle and we will say our vows.”

We had our ceremony on one of our dad’s lands, where all our close friends, who knew about us, and some cousins were invited. Not everyone approves of us, so in total, we had about 20 people. I walked down the aisle with our parents and they handed me over to David. We said our vows, exchanged rings, and kissed. Later on we had speeches, dinner, a cake-cutting ceremony and then it was an open floor with an open bar. It was indeed the best day of my life.

FME: How would you describe your sexual orientation... are you heterosexual, bisexual, what?

Sarah: We both are straight.

FME: You are in a sexual/romantic relationship with your full biological sister/brother?

David: Yes we are full biological siblings.

FME: What was your childhood like? What was family life like? Were alternative lifestyles/sex discussed in your family, and if so, how? Can you describe your sexual awakening?

Sarah: We had a normal childhood, nothing out of the ordinary just a normal family. We would go for weekend trips depending on the season, and also had a few international trips during the summers.

As mentioned before, we do come from a strict conservative family, so religion and studying the Bible were a big part of our lives. Dating and sex before marriage are still a taboo in our family. We were always taught to control our desires and if we can’t, we need to repent.

FME: How did sexual affection become a part of the relationship?

David: So, everything was a gradual process, nothing was rushed and we took our time. However, even getting into a relationship took quite a long time and I want to explain that as well.

I was 15 when I started feeling attracted towards her and it wasn’t sexual at first. It was more about her personality, her beauty, her way of life that attracted me. Initially, I wanted someone like her which then turned into I wanna be with her. This is when I started checking her out and felt immense guilt.

Believe me when I say that I repented like crazy. Her wearing short and fit clothes also made me crazy for her. I started going to gym to distract myself and spending more time in my room. I thought it was a phase and it would eventually go away.

I was dead wrong. It got intense and it had gotten to a point where I couldn’t even think straight around her. I stopped looking into her eyes when talking to her, and kept conversations short.

She noticed and eventually talked to me about it. That was the first time someone asked me about it and I lost myself. I told her everything about my feelings and how I wanna be with her. We had a small talk, but she was taken aback and said she needed time alone for a while. I felt like I had destroyed everything.

Sarah: I started noticing his changed behavior around the same time, but never really thought anything about it. I noticed him spending more time at the gym than usual, studying the Bible alone, and when he said he couldn’t look me in the eyes he would actually be looking at my boobs, and I love teasing him about it now.

So, when I felt that this changed behavior was getting strange, I simply asked him, “Is everything OK with you?”.

At first he tried to ignore everything and then when I tried pushing him he told me about his feelings.

To be very honest, I was shocked and I couldn’t believe what I’d just heard. To me, it’s all a blur after that and I remember saying to him that I need some time.

I was 16 at the time, and had my 17th birthday a few weeks later. During this time, I noticed how his body had changed. He was always skinny, but now he was getting all that lean muscle and popping veins, and that’s what I like in my men.

He also started acting like a mature guy around me, which also made me feel like being seen for the first time. All the other guys at school that approached me had the same intentions and I never entertained it. So him being different and becoming like the kind of man I always wanted, started making me see him differently.

I didn’t know what I wanted at the time so the first thing I did was make sure we were OK. Like, there wouldn’t be awkwardness between us or being shy. We were back to normal in no time.

This time, I also noticed that he now had the confidence to speak to me eye to eye. I also started flirting just with my eyes and, naturally, after some time, I decided to give him a chance despite all the odds.

We talked about how things would change and how to go about it. We also talked about our parents, how to be around them and how to keep it secret. I also laid some ground rules before anything that it would have to be an official relationship and not some family-with-benefits situation, we’ll be exclusive, we’ll take our time for everything, and if at any point one of us feels like this is not for them we will call it off and there wont be any hard feelings.

I loved how he immediately agreed to everything and I could see how happy he was. He bent down on his knee asked me out on a date at that very moment, and I said yes.

Date night came and I wore one of my best black dresses at the time and we went for dinner. The entire evening, it didn’t feel awkward at all and everything was all natural. We were so lost in the moment that we didn’t realize how close we were to each other and we kissed for the first time. Neither of us had kissed anyone before that.

David: We came home and we started kissing in the driveway as well. We just couldn’t get enough of each other and didn’t want the night to be over.

Moving forward, we started going on dates more frequently without our parents being suspicious. We also had movie nights in my room and would cuddle. Slowly and gradually, we went from just kissing to making out. We also started talking dirty with each other and sexting when around parents or during school. I also asked her if she ever fantasized about how she wanted her first sexual experience to be. A few months go by and I turned 16.

FME: Can you tell is more about that process?

David: It was a truly unforgettable experience. We were anxious, nervous and also excited about this. We mutually decided to take things forward and give each other our virginities.

Luckily, our parents were going away for the weekend on Friday and weren’t coming back until Monday, and we decided to take that opportunity. I told her that I would be taking her out on a date since I could now drive, and to wear her best dress. We decided that we’ll see each other at six and to prepare, we came home and we both went to our rooms.

I came to my room and started decorating, as that was one of the things she mentioned. I used rose petals and those battery-powered candles to light up the room. I wish I could share pics, but can’t due to privacy. She also mentioned that she would love to drink wine when doing it the first time, so I stole a bottle of red wine out of our dad’s collection. I made sure everything was on point, got ready and went to our living room at six.

She was already waiting for me and I was star-struck. She was wearing a red maxi dress that mom gifted her for her birthday.

She asked me how she looked and I said, “Like my future wife”. She chuckled and we kissed. We got in the car and left for our date.

We came home and both were so anxious and nervous that we took some time just to get out of the car. To help ease tension, I grabbed her and started kissing her.

Once she felt relaxed, I picked her up and came inside. I locked the doors and told her to close her eyes, which she did. We went to my room and told her to open her eyes. She saw the candle-lit room with rose petals and tears ran down her cheeks. She loved it and kissed me. I told her that I will do everything for her and make her the happiest woman ever. This is when I said “I love you” to her for the first time, she gave me a big smile and said it back.

We went to bed and started making out. After a while we stopped to get some water and we opened the wine bottle. We sipped together and started making out again, but this time things progressed. She started to undress me and I undressed her.

We kept going with each other’s bodies.

I went to grab condom but Sarah refused to use them for our first time and I obliged.

I went slowly. She had some pain.

I had never thought that I would one day be having sex with my sister and give each other our virginities.

I pulled out and [went] on her stomach. I grabbed a wet hot towel and cleaned her. We cuddled for a while and then had a second round which lasted much longer. By the time we both were tired, it was 2:30ish and we fell asleep in each other’s arms.

Sarah: For me, yes I was nervous and excited; I was also afraid. Some of my friends told me about their first experiences and they all had one thing in common, which was pain. One of my friends had such immense pain where she wanted to stop but the guy didn’t stop and she left crying.

I told my concerns to David and he agreed to take it slow and give me room to breathe. After we came home that day, I started preparing. I had my dress out already and was hanging in my closet. I shaved and moisturized my entire body for him. I got dressed up and went to the living room a bit early.

The date went great, as always, but on the way back, I started to get nervous to a point where David was also able to tell. When we got out of the car, I had trouble walking because my legs were shaking. David kissing me at that point was such a sigh of relief and relaxed me. He even picked me up and took me to his room. The room made me emotional because even though I was the one who told him about what I wanted, I had completely forgotten about it as that was a few months before.

I felt completely vulnerable and David kept giving me reassurances and pauses which made me love him even more. He told me how hot I am, how good of a body I have, what a good girl I am, how much he loves me, and let me have control of things. That honestly gave me courage and allowed me to enjoy the moment even more. I was shocked when I saw him for the first time without underwear. I got scared again thinking about how painful it’s going to be.

He reassured me again, letting me take my time. I could feel both the stretching and pain, but it wasn’t as bad as the girls had made it seem like. I was actually enjoying it despite pain and pressure. After both rounds, we were so tired and immediately fell asleep.

The next day we woke up around nine together, and all we did was remember the night, smile, and start kissing. Kissing eventually led us to have sex again.

I felt like a new and different person. I felt happy, fresh, and, as David and friends told me later on, I had a glow-up. I wore his shirt and went to the kitchen. We made breakfast together, danced and kissed. I was so happy. We spent the entire weekend like this and didn’t go out at all. Saturday night was spent in my room and Sunday back to his. After this, we’d be looking for every moment to have sex. Sneaking into each other’s rooms at night, we went somewhere far and had sex in the car. We also started having oral sex and learned together.

FME: Before this had you ever thought this would be possible or enjoyable; did you have any opinion one way or the other about close relatives or family members being together?

Sarah: In the beginning, we did think about it being impossible, because of the taboo being around it and how the society views it, especially the Church community. We did not have any family members before us being together, and still don’t. So we are the first and only ones in our family. That being said, we never had any feelings or even thought about being with a family member or a relative. I feel this is why our relationship is unique, and unbreakable.

FME: How do you describe the lovemaking after you were established as sexual partners? How about now?

Sarah: The lovemaking only improved over time. Initially, since we both were new and learning, we still had a great time but knew we could be better. We experimented with a lot of things and began liking other stuff as well. It’s still erotic and the taboo part gives us the hots. A sister worshipping her brother’s d—- and brother destroying his sister’s p—— is just so hot. I don’t think it’s a kink, but instead is just like any other relationship. It involves consent, respect, mutual understanding of things, and not just sex like a lot of people have made it seem like.

Over time, we developed a lot of kinks involving roleplay, cosplay, and BDSM. I’m being vague because if I get into details it could be too long. I am a submissive person, but I do dominate time to time.

David’s kinks always included breastfeeding and I always wondered why. But since our daughter came along, he loves being breastfed. For me, it has been such an immense pleasure as well. It feels connected to another level and that my dom is happy with me.

FME: Describe what your relationship now. Is it a marriage, a union, girlfriend and boyfriend, what? Are you more like spouses or family-with-benefits or something else?

Sarah: I dont think there is one way to describe our relationship. We have been together for 14 years now and it has truly evolved. At this point, we are like a married couple with a daughter. Having the same last name also helps with telling the world that we are married.

At home, we act like another couple does. Cleaning, cooking for him and with him, having fun together, watching tv together, playing PS5 together, our separate me-time, and also annoying each other like siblings. So there is no one way to describe our relationship.

David: We try to maintain every aspect of our relationship. From being siblings to lovers to spouses. I think for relationships like ours, it’s very important to keep all aspects alive. You cannot eliminate an aspect and expect others to remain intact. You remove one and everything else will fall as well. We don’t think that the two roles can completely be separated.

FME: Do you literally sleep together, or do you have separate beds?

David: Yes we sleep together and have been doing so for many years. We both graduated high school together and decided to go to the same university. Our parents got us a two-bed apartment off-campus and we decided to live in the same room. They didn't know about us at the time.

FME: Tell us about your daughter.

Sarah: We now have a three month-old daughter and her name is Freya.

FME: Do you plan to raise your child or children knowing you are siblings?

David: Yes, we plan on having more children together and soon. We have decided that we will tell our children once they are old enough to understand. Incest will never be a taboo in our household, and they’ll be free to make their own decisions regarding who they choose to love and spend their lives with.

FME: Who in your life knows the full, true nature of your relationship and how did they find out? How have they reacted? What kind of steps, if any, have you had to take to keep your privacy?

David: At this point, everyone in our family knows about us, but when our parents found out it was truly devastating. It was also expected but we always planned to tell them on our terms, but instead they found out in the worst way possible.

We were in our junior year at university and were  home for Thanksgiving week. We had been together for four or four anda a half years at this point. We had a great time together, and eventually our parents went to bed.

Sarah and I decided to watch a movie together and came to my room. Now, the rooms are on different levels, but we can hear them anytime they move. We thought they were sleeping and we also didn’t do anything until late in the middle of the night. So we were drinking leftover wine, watching a movie and cuddling in bed. One thing led to another and we started undressing each other. We were just about to f—- when I saw the room opening and Mom walked in. She sees us naked and Sarah on top of me. She freaked out and started shouting.

We covered ourselves and tried calming her down but she didn't. Our dad came hearing all the shouting and our mom told him everything. We tried explaining our relationship and how we love each other, but to no use. Our parents called us devil children, satan worshippers, and what not. They told us to stop this now or leave the house.

We looked at each other and without even saying a word, we decided to leave. We had to stay at a hotel for the night and travelled back to our apartment the next morning.

Our dad then informed us that he wont be paying for university anymore, nor the apartment.

I was working part-time at the time and I became full-time. I told Sarah to continue school and not worry about the rent, and we could apply for student loans. We still managed to graduate together and no one from our family showed up for us.

I already had a job lined up and was set to start at the end of summer that year and Sarah was set for her specializations. We moved to Salt Lake City, where I got an apartment for us and started living there. Time passed, and after two and a half or three years our parents called us for the first time, wanting to make up and accept us. I wasn’t onboard, but Sarah made me meet them and make things better.

We did make things better with them, but the extended family, uncles and aunts, they still don’t fully accept us. Some cousins reached out and supported us and were also at our ceremony. But to be honest, we didn’t care about the extended family and still don’t.

FME: Tell us more about your parents got back with you.

David: When our parents called us back, they asked for forgiveness and they accepted us. I wasn’t onboard but Sarah made me go. When we met them, I could feel that our mom was really happy but our dad, not so much. This was the first time when we finally had an open conversation about our relationship and our mom seemed to understand.

Our mom asked all sorts of questions from how and when we started dating to our future plans. She even asked Sarah how our sex life was at another occasion and Sarah replied that it was awesome.

Our dad wasn't onboard right off the bat, it took us a lot of sittings and when he saw how happy Sarah was, he fully accepted us. In the beginning, he also asked her if I ever manipulated her or anything. Fun fact, when he fully accepted us, he told me that if I ever hurt Sarah, he will personally hunt me down. Now we have a running joke that I'm my dad's son-in-law. He also helped us with the ceremony even though I didn’t ask for help, saying it's his wedding present. When our daughter was born, he set up a college fund for her as well. So now both of them have accepted us and are happy.

FME: Having to hide the full nature of your relationship from some people can be a disadvantage. Can you describe how that has been? Are there any other disadvantages? Conversely, do you think consanguineous relationships have some advantages and some things better than unrelated lovers? Especially between siblings?

David: I don't think it’s a disadvantage; we know that not everyone is approving so we have always kept it low-key. The only disadvantage I can think of is people calling cops or reporting us, but other than that I don't see any other disadvantage. Over the years, only a handful of our friends know about us and they keep it a secret. We only told them because we trusted them, and knew we could count on them.

On the other hand, some advantages I can think of are that we can experience the best of both worlds, from being siblings to lovers to parenting together. Even now we would act like siblings rather than lovers and enjoy the moments. We feel that we can understand each other much better than a non-related couple can, have awesome taboo sex and there can be no shyness from anything.

FME: What do you want to say to people who disapprove of your relationship, or disapprove of anyone having this kind of relationship? What's your reply to those who would say that this mist be abusive, and that there couldn’t truly be consent; that one of you must have groomed the other in a predatory or otherwise abusvie way?

Sarah: I would say that they dont understand what our relationship is like. They fail to understand our love and bond.

We dont care about your approval or disapproval, all we want is to start having honest conversations around this topic. As mentioned earlier, relationships like ours are also built on trust, consent, love and mutual understanding.

Yes, I understand a lot of incest-related things we hear on news, TVs, articles are abusive but we never hear about the other side. We cannot just ignore the other side at all. I’m the oldest in the relationship, and neither of us ever manipulated the other into something. No one was groomed in any shape or form. We both consented to this relationship, both consented to start having sex, both consented to live together, both consented to have babies.

He loves spoiling me, loves taking care of me, loves worshipping me, and I do too. So to anyone disapproving, we dont care because we have something you’ll never be able to experience. Let’s start having a genuine and open conversation.

FME: If you could legally marry, and that included protections against discrimination, harassment, etc., would you? Or is this a different kind of relationship than that?

Sarah: I would definitely. If ever during our lifetime, legally marrying your sibling is allowed, we would be the first ones.

David: I would too.

FME: What advice do you have for someone who may be experiencing these feelings for a relative or family member, especially a sibling?

Sarah: You are not alone and don’t feel bad about having such feelings. Now acting on that feeling is where you have to be careful. You need to ask yourself whether these feelings are for love or just lust. I dont support having lustful feelings but again, that’s my point of view. If you have genuine feelings for your sibling, be as open about it as you can depending on your relationship with them. Secondly, give them room to breathe when you express. Dont force a conversation or a decision upon them. Lastly, respect their decision. Them saying no is not the end of the world and you’ll eventually move on. I want to stress that consent in important.

FME: What advice do you have for family members and friends who think or know that relatives they know are having these feelings for each other? Should they be supportive, and it so, how?

David: Be supportive. There is already too much hate in this world and we need more love. You can be supportive in your own way depending on the situation. If they’re opening up about their relationship to you, dont call them out or be negative about it. You being negative is why they kept it a secret from you in the first place. If they are open about their relationship, let them be and if not, keep it a secret. Help them in any way you can to show support. When Sarah and I were alone, none of our family members reached out to us for support. It was devastating. It was our friends who stood beside us and helped us.

FME: Do you consider yourself at least partially consanguinamorous in orientation, or could you be fulfilled being in a relationship with someone who isn’t a close relative? Do you have attraction to unrelated people, and if so, does that feel similar?

Sarah: I dont feel sexually attractive to anyone other than David, be they a relative or not. I just don’t see anyone like that anymore. Every bit of my soul, every inch of my body belongs to David and him alone. So thinking about anyone else is just isnt even in the cards anymore.

David: I think its the same for me as well, and no other girl can ever come close to Sarah. During high school, university, and work, I have seen and met a lot of beautiful girls and I could tell that they were attracted to me. But for me, I never had any attraction towards them. I can bet money that if I were to get into a relationship, none of them would even come close to what we have.

FME: Any plans for the future?

Sarah: Right now I don't have any immediate plans for the future. But I do plan on giving birth to more babies. I dont know when I’ll be ready mentally, but hopefully soon. I love kids and having kids with David has truly been a dream. I do wanna start traveling again but can’t because our daughter is too young. Hopefully next year we can resume traveling.

Clearly, these lovers are consenting adults who aren't hurting anyone, and yet they can't even exercise their basic human right to legally marry as things are now. They love each other, are happy, and have a child, yet they are denied fundamental rights. They can't even be open about their love without risking loss of career, harassment, or much worse.

This is such a beautiful relationship! Why should they be denied their rights? There’s no good reason. We need to recognize that all adults should be free to be with any and all consenting adults as they mutually consent, and part of doing that is adopting relationship rights for all, including full marriage equality sooner rather than later. People are being hurt because of a denial of their basic human rights to love each other freely.

You can read other interviews I have done here. As you'll see, there are people from all walks of life, around the world, who are in consanguinamorous relationships.

If you are in a relationship like this and are looking for help or others you can talk with, read this.

If you want to be interviewed about your "forbidden" relationship, or that of someone you know,
connect with me by checking under the "Get Connected" tab there at the top of the page or emailing me at fullmarriageequality at protonmail dot com or on Wire messaging app at fullmarriageequality, X/Twitter at FullMEquality, or Facebook. I usually check for private/direct messages and respond in less than a day, so if I don't it might mean your message didn't get delivered.

If you know someone who is in a relationship that’s anything like this, or “taboo” or “forbidden,”
please read this.

Thank you, David and Sarah, for sharing with us about consanguinamorous marriage. We wish you well in your marriage and parenthood, and hope you can get legally married soon!

  1. Thank you, Keith, for sharing a very sincere and heartwarming story.
This wonderful saga breathes genuine truth, genuine feelings, genuine love. Sometimes we miss it so much in our lives. There is a lot of fuss, misunderstanding, loneliness, betrayal, selfishness and stress around us, but it is people like Sarah and David who leave us with hope that humanity is not as bad as it seems at first glance.
Yes, they were lonely, yes, it was incredibly difficult for them to find each other (even living next to each other since birth!), yes, they experienced the whole gamut of doubts and feelings of guilt, like all consanguinamorus couples... Yes ... Yes ... yes ...
But they fought and won! They "defeated" themselves, their parents, and their family, but most importantly, they defeated a ruthless and hypocritical SYSTEM!
They did it, so each of us can, we just need to take the first step...
I particularly liked the 2 quotes from the interview that reflect the foundation of these siblings' happiness.:

"I also laid some ground rules before anything that it would have to be an official relationship and not some family-with-benefits situation, we’ll be exclusive, we’ll take our time for everything, and if at any point one of us feels like this is not for them we will call it off and there wont be any hard feelings."

"Be supportive. There is already too much hate in this world and we need more love."

Dear Sarah and David, I'm just a stranger from the Internet, but I'm rooting for you and your family with all my heart. I wish you the fulfillment of your dream of a big family, I wish you to grow old together in peace and harmony surrounded by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
You deserve true happiness and the memory of not only your descendants, but of all the supporters and allies of Full Marriage Equality.
And I know if God exists, Mormon or otherwise, He also enjoys looking at you.
    Take care...
