National Sons Day

In the US, Sunday, September 28 is National Sons Day.

Celebrate sons. All sons, regardless of sexual orientation or relationships.

Whether they are cis, trans, fluid, or whatever their identity, if they are sons, it is their day.

Are you a son?

Do you have a son? If you have a son, it's time to think about the good things he's brought into your life and what you can do to show your support and appreciation.

Are you celebrating?

Do tell in the comments below.

If you have something to share or ask you don’t want in the comments, you can write to Keith at fullmarriageequality at protonmail dot com

  1. I think it's very significant that Son's Day and Daughter's Day are very close in the calendar. Children are not just procreation, the birth and upbringing of children makes us human in the highest sense of the word. (In no way do I want to offend those who do not want to have children for ethical reasons or for internal rejection).
When we talk about sons in the context of Full Marriage Equality, we primarily mean the possibility of their voluntary, nonviolent sexual and romantic relationships with their mothers and fathers. And if such a relationship is formed, then it has a special emotional character, the character of exceptional closeness, complete spiritual and physical fusion of two human beings. I think that this should be considered true happiness.
No matter how important the father figure is to the son, it is the mother who suffered during pregnancy and childbirth, the mother who nursed her son and protected him in infancy, ready to give her life for him, plays a special role in his life. And like a daughter who subconsciously looks for a father in all men, a son also looks for a mother in every woman, for a mother who will always caress him, protect him, understand him and always forgive him.
The special biological and spiritual closeness of mother and son always has romantic overtones with sexual notes, no matter how hard we try to suppress our nature . (Oldy Freud said this well, even if many people scold him now).
Most mother-son relationships do not go beyond filial affection and filial love. But there have always been, are, and will be those among the sons who took the bold step of loving their mothers as a women. Not all mothers reciprocate with their sons who are in love with them, but if this happens, then such relationships are an amazing example of harmony and fidelity.
I wish mother-son couples, as well as father-son couples, undying mutual love, self-confidence and partner confidence, courage to overcome all obstacles in their path, joy and good luck.
And I appeal to all sons, no matter what their relationships with their parents may be: please call them first or visit them on this day if they are still alive. Even if they forgot about your holiday, even if you don't get along well with them. Life is short and unpredictable, do not miss the chance to make the right choice.
