Seven Years Along and Still Denied the Freedom to Marry

This blog has featured scores of exclusive interviews with lovers are denied the freedom to be open about their love and are, by law, denied the freedom to marry and have that marriage treated equally under the law.

The woman interviewed below is, and was, clearly able to consent to her relationship. Along with her lover, she should be free to decide whether or not to legally marry, yet they could be harassed, persecuted, and prosecuted if they were open about their love. They are consenting adults who aren't hurting anyone; why should they be denied their rights? In much of the world, including all but a couple of US states, they could be criminally prosecuted for their love.

Read the interview below and see for yourself what they have to say. You may think her relationships are shocking, interesting, or you might find it incredibly sexy, but whatever your reaction, should these lovers be denied equal access to marriage or any other rights?

*****

FULL MARRIAGE EQUALITY: Describe yourselves.

Daughter: I'm usually shy at first, but once you get to know me, I'm pretty outgoing. I like watching sci-fi movies, and I love learning about history. I do a lot of jogging in the park, and I love the ocean. Once my dad taught me how to swim, I couldn't stay away from the water. I also love dogs, and we actually have a dog name Snow for it's the color of the dog. She's a big part of our life.

Father: I do a lot of landscaping, and building houses too. I love swimming whether it's in the ocean, or river. I introduced the ocean to my daughter, and she fell in love with it. I have a boat, and two jet skis, so usually on our spare time, we will go to the beach.

FME: Are you married or have you ever been legally and/or ceremonially married?

Daughter: I'm not married, but I do feel like I'm married to my father. The only thing I'm missing is a wedding ring.

Father: I was married for a long time until I had a divorce. She is the mother of my three children including my daughter.

FME: How would you describe your sexual orientation and your relationship orientation?

Daughter: We're both heterosexual and monogamist. We try to see other people, but I always end up telling people that I have a boyfriend, and I never see my dad going on any dates except with me.

FME: You currently live with...?

Daughter: We both live together. I have two older brothers who are married with kids, and they haven't live with us for quite awhile now.

FME: You two are biological father and daughter and in a sexual/romantic relationship with each other? What are your ages?

Daughter: I'm 27, and I'm proud to say that I'm in a romantic relationship with my father. He makes me happy, and treats me better than anybody. He's so kind and affectionate towards me. It feels nice to be loved by my father in such a romantic ways.

Father: I'm 48, and I'm in a romantic relationship with my daughter, and just because we're having sex, it doesn't mean that I don't love my daughter, but on the contrary, I love her even more than ever.

FME: Can you describe your sexual awakening?

Daughter: When I was growing up, I wasn't really into the party scene. I don't smoke, or even drink, so I stay away from those kind of stuff. I was a virgin until I was 20. I was very careful when it came to boys because I wanted to wait until the right guy came along, and unexpectedly, the right guy was my father. My father is my first experience in everything. He's my first boyfriend, my first kiss, and my first lover in bed. When I lost my virginity to my father, I knew it was meant to be. He was so caring and gentle with me. I couldn't believe how safe and comfortable my father made me feel. Honestly, it didn't feel weird, or awkward. It was a very special moment for the both us. I've felt a deep connection with my father that was so intense. Our love grew for one another from that day forward.

FME: How did sexual affection become a part of your relationship?

Daughter: Everything happened on spring break when I came to visit my father from college. At the time, I was living with a roommate, and I lived about an hour and a half away from my father. I wanted to spend my last week with my father before I went back to school. One night, after having a great time together, I asked my father if it was okay if we cuddle for a few minutes before he went off to bed. We'd cuddled before in the past, but nothing ever happened between us.

My father laid in my bed, and we cuddled with my head resting on his chest. We were talking about each other's life. We were feeling really close, and a lot of love for each other, and the next thing that happened, we kissed. I'd never kissed anybody before, but I could tell the kiss was powerful. We started touching each other through our clothes. My father took his time with me, and he didn't rush me to get me out of clothes. There was a lot of foreplay at first before we actually got naked. I remember telling my father that I was a virgin, and he asked me if I wanted him to stop, and I told him no. That night, my father made me a happy woman, and we fell in love with each other.

FME: Can you describe your feelings during that process and/or event?

Daughter: I know people won't understand, but I felt loved. I felt appreciated. I felt safe and protected. I felt like he was the best father in the world for making me feel so special. I felt happy to lose my virginity to my father, because he loves me better than anyone. No, I'm not sick, and I know what I'm talking about. He makes me feel beautiful inside and outside. He is kind, affectionate, and supportive. He is everything I look for in a man, and the best part is, he is my father.

Father: I'm not that good at explaining it the way my daughter does. It felt amazing, like a fire just woke up inside of me.

FME: Before this had you ever thought this would be possible or enjoyable; did you have any opinion one way or the other about close relatives or family members being together? Do you, or have you had feelings like this for any other close family members whether they are genetic relatives or not?

Daughter: I never thought too much about it even though I read about it in history online. I've never looked at my family in any other way other than as my family. My father is the only one in my family who I'm attracted to. He is an amazing man, and I'm happy that he is mine.

FME: How do you describe the sex/lovemaking now? Taboo? Natural? Especially erotic? Some people say familial eroticism is inherently kinky, but I have found that for many it doesn't feel kinky.

Daughter: It felt taboo and natural at the same time. It can be kinky if we want it to be. Sometimes we really focus on the fact that we're father and daughter when we have sex. I feel like talking does make the sex more fun and exciting. It's really about the bonding, and connection that makes each moments of being together meaningful. My father is my best friend. We have similar hobbies, and we understand each other's sense of humor. Sex is like a bonus in our relationship because we can fully express how much we love each other.

Father: It actually took me a whole year to get used to all of this. At first, my daughter would often make the first move. She will always have to reassure me that it was okay for me to kiss her, and touch her. She will constantly remind me that I'm not a bad father. She will tell me how much she loves me, and how great a father I am. My daughter helps me a lot to get over my guilt.

FME: Is there a typical routine as far as sex goes in terms of how it starts and progresses? Is it scheduled, who initiates, does it usually involve intercourse, spending the night, etc.?

Daughter: Sometimes we plan it ahead of time, and sometimes it just happens. We know about each other's fantasy, and what turn us both on. I have weak a spot on my body, and only my father knows where it is. You know the sex is great when you feel like you're being hypnotized. I have some sexy bikinis that I put on for my father once in awhile. I just love spending time with my father no matter what it is.

Father: I remembered when we first started having sex, she was kind of shy because she was still learning about everything, but now, she will do almost anything.  I feel proud that she chose me to be her first, and it gives me a peace of mind as a father knowing that I'm the only man that my daughter have ever slept with.

FME: Describe your relationship now. Do you see each other as family or lovers, or are those two roles inseparable at this point?

Daughter: We've been together for seven years, and we are a couple just like anybody else. We see each other as family and lovers, and because he is my father, I always feel like I'm at home. Love and trust plays a big part in our relationship. A lot of people may wonder why I chose to have sex with my father, and it is because I trust my father. I never once feel like he is betraying me, or taking advantage of me. I always feel loved by my father. He is still the same caring father, but just more flirtatious. I love the romantic relationship that I have with my father, it is a very affectionate bond.Sometimes, we play music in the house, and we will dance together. I admit, I'm a sucker for my father's hugs and kisses. He always knows how to bring a smile to my face. I have the most wonderful man, and the most amazing father in the world.

Father: I guess you can say, my daughter and I have two roles to play in the relationship. I'm her father, and her man. She's my daughter, and my woman. I still talk and give advice to my daughter as her father. The only difference now is the affection that we show to each other. It's kind of hard to explain on how we mix the two together, but it works pretty well.

FME: Does anyone in your life know the full, true nature of your relationship and how did they find out?

Daughter: We've never told any one. I know they will put all the blame on my father, and I don't want to lose him. I would be devastated if we were torn apart.

FME: Having to hide the full nature of your relationship from some people can be a disadvantage. Can you describe how that has been? Are there any other disadvantages? Conversely, do you think consanguineous relationships have some advantages and some things better than unrelated lovers?

Daughter: The only disadvantage is that we can't get married, and we have to be very careful in public, especially around family and friends. My father is the only man I've been with, but I'm pretty sure that what I have is rare and special.  The only love I ever known is my father, so everything I learn about love is by being with my father. In my heart, I feel like what I have with my father is true love.

Father: I don't think I ever loved any one as much I love my daughter. I've been with a lot of women, but nobody makes me feel the way my daughter does. She has a kind heart and a beautiful soul. She has been my purpose in life since she were born.

FME: What do you want to say to people who disapprove of your relationship, or disapprove of anyone having this kind of relationship? What's your reply to those who would say that this is one of you preying on the other?

Daughter: I think a father and daughter can decide to have any kind of relationship that they want as long they are both consenting adults. I have a very happy and healthy sexual relationship with my father. There is no abuse, or rape involved in what we're doing. At the end of the day, we're both adults who can make our own choices.

FME: Do you have any children together?

Daughter: My father and I are planning to make a baby this year. After two long years of convincing him, he finally agreed to it.

Father: I didn't want a baby at first because I wanted to make sure that we were ready. We're planning to move away, so people won't question too much when they see us raising a baby together. She has been bugging me for two years about having a baby. I never thought I would hear my daughter ask me for a baby.

FME: What would you say to something who says you shouldn't be allowed to have children?

Daughter: I say, it's none of their concern because what we do doesn't interfere with their relationship. We just want to be happy like everybody else.

FME: If you could get legally married, and that included protections against discrimination, harassment, etc., would you?

Daughter: Of course I would. I can't picture myself being married to anybody else, but to my father. He is the only one for me. I can already see myself in a wedding dress, and I'm standing across from my father. I can see our honeymoon at a beautiful place. I can see my father and I raising our three children in a happy home with our dog Snow, and her puppies. I'm sorry, I'm getting carry away. I'm just a woman who's crazy in love with her father.

Father: She often talks about it like most women do. She even told me one time that she went shopping for a wedding dress just for the heck of it. I'm just lucky to have a daughter that loves me so much.

FME: What advice do you have for someone who may be experiencing these feelings for a relative or family member, especially a father or daughter?

Daughter: It really depends on how close the relationship is.They have to show signs that they're also interested like something out of the ordinary. You can't just walk up, and tell that person how you feel. There has to be some kind of attraction within the relationship, which is often hidden. Before my father and I even had sex, I could kind of already tell that there was a lot of chemistry between us even though we weren't fully aware of it at the time. We had a great father and daughter relationship before the sex, and now we have an even greater father and daughter relationship. It's very risky because anything can happen.

FME: Have you met in-person or do you know anyone else who has experience with consanguinamory or consanguineous sex that you know of?

Daughter: I've talked to a few couples like me online. All the women that I've talk to who are in love with their father share the same feelings as me. As daughters, we love and adore our father, so to be sexually and romantically involved with our father feels absolutely amazing. The feeling of love is overwhelming, and there's so much affection behind the bonding.

FME: Any plans for the future?

Daughter: Right now, we just found a place in a different state, so we will be moving soon. We plan to start a family together, so we want to live somewhere we can truly be ourselves. I'm so excited for our next chapter. I know I will be okay because I have my father by side.

Father: The only plan I have is to spend the rest of my life with my beautiful daughter. I knew she was special since the day she was born.

FME: Anything else to add?

Daughter: If anybody wants to ask me some questions, or is in a similar relationship, feel free to email me at littlenicole3000@gmail.com. I would love to speak to people who are open-minded about this kind of topic, or if they just need someone to talk to.

Father: I love this woman with all of my heart. She is the best daughter in the world, and sometimes I feel like I don't deserve her love. She doesn't have to love me this much, but she does.

Clearly, this woman was and is a consenting adult with her father and they are consenting adults who aren't hurting anyone, and yet they can't even exercise their basic human right to marry. They are happy and in love, yet they are denied that fundamental right to marry. It is possible her orientation includes consanguinamory, which seems to be the case for at least some people who have consanguinamorous relationships.

Why should they be denied their rights? There’s no good reason. We need to recognize that all adults should be free to be with any and all consenting adults as they mutually consent, and part of doing that is adopting relationship rights for all, including full marriage equality sooner rather than later. People are being hurt because of a denial of their basic human rights to love each other freely.

You can read other interviews I have done here. As you'll see, there are people from all walks of life who are in consanguinamorous relationships.

If you are in a relationship like this and are looking for help or others you can talk with, read this.

Thank you to the anonymous father and daughter for doing this interview! We wish you well in your intergenerational consanguinamorous relationship!

  1. Amazing. Simply amazing. It's true romantic love between a father and daughter, and it should be celebrated. This is not wrong or evil, it's beautiful. They have something special and they are going to make it more special by having a child. I wish them all the luck in the world.

  2. It's insane how anyone could look at this and say it's wrong, they're two adults who love each other who aren't harming anyone. They deserve to be happy and to have equality just like everybody else.
