Celebrating Progress, Looking Forward

Ten years ago, the US Supreme Court issued their decision recognizing a nationwide right to marry.

It was a great moment and we especially congratulate everyone celebrating their ten year wedding anniversary!

Many other countries have also made progress.

We are still moving forward to the goal of full marriage equality, so that an adult will be free to marry any and all consenting adults. Letting consenting adults have the relationships to which they mutually agree, including marriage, is supported by the US Constitution and basic human rights.

Thank you to all who have contributed to advancing these rights!

  1. Yes, this is a huge step not only for the United States, but for all humankind.
    But!
Unfortunately, the rights of blood relatives to marry continue to be infringed upon.
And it is completely unacceptable that in a number of states it is forbidden for first cousins to marry.
The United States has always been as an example for other countries in the official legalization of human rights, so we hope for a gradual movement towards full recognition of the right to marriage and to family formation of people connected by ties of kinship. And it is needed to start with the ubiquitous and full recognition of the legality of marriages between first cousins. Such infringement of their rights is shameful and unworthy of this great country!

  2. We need the ability to have all of us Brother and Sister Couples to be able to legally marry. Especially, those of us that have been together a long time and have children.
