When Celebutants Want to Make Waves

Themes and instances of consanguineous sex and consanguinamory have always been in our stories. You can see it in the classic Greek myths, you can find it in the Bible. Whether literature and theater that has been acclaimed and enduring, or modern erotica, consanguinamory has been there.

That’s because it has always been a part of life; not for everyone, but for many people. There has been everything from one-time recreational dalliances to lifelong passionate romances.

So it isn’t surprising when “reality” television stars joke about, tease, or mimic consanguineous sexuality.

Visibility is generally good. It generally moves things forward and lets people know they aren’t alone. It can be helpful even if it is used so shock or get publicity. It can be negative, however, if consanguineous sex is used to galvanize an audience in their prejudices and negativity. And while performing artists can put on a show for a camera or a live audience that most people will recognize as “just for show” and then go about their lives, there are people who have to hide their love and have to strictly guard their privacy for fear of hate and even criminal prosecution.

We’ve talked about the Kardashians before. From time to time, they make news for toying with themes of consanguinamory. The rest of this entry is about recent social media offerings by sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner (part of the Kardashian universe), so if you don’t want to read about them you can skip it.

Kylie & Kendall Jenner
Kylie Jenner is creating headlines again. After posting a blackface photo on Instagram, the teen took to Snapchat to post a video of herself sticking her hand down Kendall’s shorts. Fans have taken to social media to share their disgust over the video.

Hollywood Life reported about the controversial Jenner sister’s Snapchat video. In the video, Kylie sticks her fingers down Kendall’s shorts. Kendall reacts by saying, “Kylie, ohhh!” at the end. The video has been awkward for many fans to watch.
Isn't Kylie still under the age of 18? And since she is, doesn't this flirt with breaking federal law?
TMZ was one of the first celebrity gossip sites to post the Kylie Jenner Snapchat video. The news site mentioned that Kylie appears to be groping her older sister in a sexual manner.
Seriously. Would a 30-year-old man be prosecuted for having the video on his smart phone?
The source also noted that Kylie’s never shy when it comes to showing how close she is with her older sister. She has shared several photos on Instagram in which she was seen nearly kissing her older sister.
When she’s not shooting or sharing oversexualized videos with Kendall, Kylie is often seen sharing sexy selfies and spending time with her much older boyfriend, Tyga.
There are sisters all over the world who will never be celebrities who have a romantic and/or erotic connection, or a recreational arrangement. Most of them have to keep it a secret rather than broadcasting it to the world.
